Access to the project and using Source Forge

Registering with Source Forge for CVS access and basic setup information

This should only concern those who wish to have CVS write access, e.g. official developers, documentation maintainers, etc. If in doubt, ignore this section.

1. Create a Source Forge account (if you do not already have one)

2. Source Forge may take time to process your request. In the mean time, generate an SSH key if you do not already have one:

You are very encouraged to put a passphrase on your SSH key. The use of ssh-agent will avoid the hassle of entering your passphrase all the time. Your resulting public key will be by default located in ~/.ssh/id_dsa.pub

3. Also in the mean time, you may want to setup Apache and MySQL on your personal computer or testing server. A default configuration should be good enough, altough for security/privacy reasons, you man want your webserver to listen only on localhost:

Find and adjust, or add:

This will avoid having a publicly accessible web server.

3. Request on lcm-dev access to be added as a project developer.

4. In the mean time, create a database access for the program:

5. When you finally get access to the CVS code:

You can also checkout the project documentation:

To checkout the code via anonymous access (if you are not a developer), you can finde more information on Source Forge’s CVS Page.

6. The project should be ready to use, you can now access it with your web browser: http://127.0.0.1/legalcase/
