In this LCM installation, there is a case keyword "type of crime" which is added to each case. We can therefore define a report to list the number of new cases for a given period, by type of crime, for each user.

Report specifications

The above image shows a report which uses the "user" as the line information, which will be combined to the "case keyword — type of crime". We have also added a filter in order to extract only the cases which were assigned in a given period. The filter’s value is left empty so that we can specify it at the moment we generate the report. This way, we can re-use the same report for different periods of time.

Clicking on the "generate the report" button will ask the user to enter the date interval for which to generate the report:

The interval for Septerber 1st to October 31st has been selected. Note that it is not necessary to enter the exact day, LCM will interpret it as the beginning and end of the month.

Clicking on "Validate" will show us the result of the report:

For this type of report (this is not always possible), we can zoom in on a specific cell (item) of the report, in order to list the exact cases which were counted for that cell. This feature was added in LCM 0.6.3.

It is also possible to print the report using your Web browser (File | Print). When documents are printed, they automatically use a printer-friendly design.

Note that the numbers in the "total" column might not be accurate since the image was highly edited in order to remove excess or sensitive information.
